I found it while analyzing different testing libraries for one of the new projects.

I liked GINKGO the most due to its simplicity and close resemblance with RSPEC(Rails testing library)

InternetExplorer was the OG and it ruled the web for ten good years. Let’s visit some significant milestones from the life of IE.

Year 1995 — Birth of IE as a part of Windows 1995
Year 1998 — It became the most popular web browser and also introduced JPEG and GIF
Year 2003 — Still in the sole lead with 95% market share
Year 2009 — Lost its monopoly to Chrome, Firefox, and Opera
Year 2012 — Downfall continued. And Chrome, Firefox, and even Safari raced past it.
Year 2015 — Microsoft realized that there is no coming back for IE and hence launched The Edge.

No I’m not pouring my personal “religious” beliefs about this philosophy, rather something technical.

It’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. When you ask for permission, you have to perform an extra operation to ask for permission every time whereas when asking for forgiveness, you only have to perform an extra operation sometimes, i.e. when it fails.

AFNP is considered as a best practice in Python world and I learnt that you wont be called `a true pythonic` if you do not follow this.

Team #python please correct me here if I am wrong.

This technique contrasts with 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗽(𝗟𝗕𝗬𝗟) which is common to many other languages such as C.

Today I Learned about the Lua script.

For one of my recent tasks, I was analyzing different API gateways. One of the components in the decision matrix was the Native language used to develop the tool and the extensions. Kong is a widely used API gateway and it is written over NGINX in Lua script.

Hence I thought to explore what Lua script is.
